Growing, Changing, New Site, New Blog
Many years ago, before I had found my voice, I started my photography site and blog using the tools of the day. I went photographing with my local photo club buddies, taking pictures of rocks, mountains, flowers, beaches, you know - the "usual subjects."
But my voice has always been in taking pictures of people and cultures, and I started to branch out into international travel and, to use an incredibly overused term, street photography. I studied with the great American photo documentary photographers. I traveled. My gear changed, my vision changed, my photos changed.
Until now, all my photographic collections were organized by place and time, and this organizational approach certainly has its use. But now, as I look through my collection, I see thematic threads that I want to explore.
The effort to rearrange my old site into a new way of thinking was daunting, so instead, it is time for a new beginning.
Last night, I published my small but newly organized site and I have repointed my domain inancyimages.com to the new site and blog https://www.inancyimages.com
My first themed-based collection is Women in the World. Because of the way my LightRoom catalogs are organized, it is mostly international at this point, but my local US-based images will be added soon.
